Description
This 2-hour course will focus on the medical aspects of hair removal. It is designed to enhance the participants’ knowledge and professionalism by defining and further explaining the vocabulary used by doctors and health professionals to describe important facets of the processes of both laser hair removal and electrolysis. The discussion will include terminology related to the structures of the skin and hair as well as the diseases and disorders that may affect them, the hair growth cycles, the endocrine system, and medical conditions that may cause unwanted hair growth. Finally, a brief review of the medications that can stimulate hair growth.
