This 2-hour presentation will review the basics of laser physics, renewing our understanding of the concepts and terms that are the science behind how laser was developed. It will discuss the characteristics of laser light and laser treatment parameters with an emphasis on using this knowledge to achieve the desired tissue effects for safe and successful hair removal. In addition, the vital role of the practitioner as educator will be accentuated as we examine the recommendations for pre- and post- treatment care.
