Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) is the most common cause of hirsutism and acne in women of reproductive age. Although the underlying cause of PCOS is not entirely understood, this course will help the medical hair removal professional understand the causes hirsutism in the female patient. This course will also discuss symptoms of PCOS how the medical hair removal professional might recognize these symptoms in order to refer to a treating physician. The hair removal professional will also gain an understanding of the different types of treatments for hirsutism and hormonal imbalances as well how to combine treatments with hair removal procedures for the most desirable results.
